The SATS Experience: Guide & Policies

We always suggest arriving 5 to 10 minutes prior to your session. This gives you time to get introduced to our equipment and teachodifications you may need.Don't hesitate to speak up for your body. Our instructors are here to help you no matter where you are at on your fitness journey. The more they know before class the better they can assist you!

What do I need to do for my first session?

Our team teaches a workout designed for growth. While we teach an athletic flow, you will hear modifications and be encouraged to rest when you need it. Our formats are designed to build endurance over time. We do not believe being new is bad—we all start new, and that does not mean being perfect at any phase, because growth isn't linear.

How does time under tension help me reach my fitness goals?

How many times a week should I take class to reach my goals?

What happens if I need to cancel my class?

No. We believe that if you are paying for a membership, you should never be asked to bring your own equipment. Some people do like to bring their own hot Pilates towel to put over their mat or a sweat towel, but everything else is provided.

Yes! Just as we believe you should never have to bring your own equipment, we also believe you shouldn't have to fight for parking or pay hefty fees on top of your class investment. Our space is all about detoxing from the outside world and letting cortisol melt away, so yes—even in Nashville, we have ample parking!

How should I mix the Power Plates, infrared heat, and reformers for the best results?

Are Power Plates like those cheap vibration shake plates you find on Amazon?

How do I connect with administration?

Email hello@joinsweats.com. Please include "NASH" or "OBKY" and any questions you may have in the subject line, and someone from our team will reach out to you.

Do I need to bring my own equipment?

We keep our studio intentionally intimate so you always receive the sweet, one-on-one attention you deserve. Because every spot is so precious, our policies are designed with love to protect everyone in our community—including you. If you need to cancel outside of our 12-hour window, a gentle $15 late-cancel fee applies.

Always try to cancel, even if it's just an hour before! No-shows weigh heavily on our small business, our wonderful instructors, and the sweet friends waiting on the list to take your place. Because missing a class without notice impacts our whole community so deeply, you will be kindly charged the full class rate, just like most boutique service studios.

Keeping our space exceptionally clean and safe is our number one job! Since barefoot environments can easily spread germs, and because we move on sliding machines, vibrating platforms, and warm mats, grip socks protect your hygiene and stability. For this reason, we kindly ask that bare feet never enter the building—even just to walk to your mat. If you ever forget yours, you can easily purchase a pair at the studio, though we always recommend keeping a spare set tucked in your car!

In Nashville, we are nestled in the quiet neighborhood of musicians and creatives on 507 C Heather Place. You’ll see a greenhouse that sits off the road, with a driveway running along the right side leading to our front doors. [We are located in the back building]

  • The double white doors are the home of our plates and reformers.

  • The black staircase leads to the red room where we host hot Pilates.

  • You can park anywhere in the lot and adjacent gravel lot, though please note that the front spaces in front of "projects" are not available from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

In Owensboro, we are located at 1734 Sweeney Street, and you are welcome to park anywhere in the Thaches parking lot!

Yes! We have fill-up stations, fresh water, sparkling water, and clean sparkling energy drinks waiting for you to stay fully refreshed and energized.

There is a lot of research showing you actually learn better form without a mirror! We designed our hot Pilates room as a mirror-free sanctuary so you can spend 45 minutes completely stepping away from the outside world and focusing entirely on yourself. In a world where social media constantly taxes your mental health, this is a 45-minute safe zone free from self-criticism.

Traditional Pilates is wonderful for helping you find control and mobility, and we stay deeply rooted in those foundational philosophies. However, our workouts are designed by someone with deep roots in personal training and in helping people hit their real-world goals. Most people sign up for classes assuming all workouts are equal and hoping they work—but that is not true. That is why we mix methods and use time under tension.

Time under tension keeps you in an exercise long enough to stimulate serious fat burn and create the afterburn effect. Because of this, you may need more breaks during your first few classes than you will by your 10th time, as we are training your body to stay with a movement for a specific duration. This approach ensures you don't just build better mobility, but actively tackle what is almost everyone's number-one goal: fat burn and muscle definition. Traditional Pilates doesn't do what the art of strength training does, so we uniquely merge them together both on the mat and on the reformer.

It depends entirely on what you want to achieve!

  • If your goal is just to move and feel better, 2 to 3 times a week is wonderful for consistency, mobility, and energy.
  • If your goal is fat loss and deep physical transformation: 4 to 5 times a week delivers the optimal frequency for continuous progress.

To get the absolute most out of your membership, blending our signature modalities creates a powerful synergy for your body:

  • Reformer Pilates: Focuses on core control, stability, and lengthening your muscles through mindful movement.
  • Power Plate Vibration Training: Accelerates muscle fiber recruitment, enhances recovery, and boosts circulation in a fraction of the time.
  • Infrared Hot Mat Classes: Elevates your core temperature to promote detoxification, improve flexibility, and amplify calorie burn while providing that 45-minute mental sanctuary.

Rotating between these three elements ensures you never plateau. You get the strength and control of the reformer, the metabolic shock and power of vibration training, and the deep sweat and muscle definition of infrared heat—all merging together to completely transform how your body looks and feels.

Absolutely not! While cheap Amazon plates often use a simple teeter-totter tilting motion, true medical-grade Power Plates are backed by extensive research and trusted by professional athletes and NASA.

What makes Power Plates different and how do they benefit my body?

Power Plates use advanced, safe harmonic oscillations rather than harsh rocking. This medical-grade technology delivers incredible benefits:

94% Muscle Activation: Engages far more muscle fibers simultaneously.

  • Lymphatic Drainage & Circulation: Promotes daily lymphatic flushing and superior blood flow.

  • Bone Density & Hormone Balance: Helps build better bone density while boosting serotonin, lowering cortisol, and elevating HGH levels.

  • Lightning-Fast Results: Acts as a dramatic time-saver, delivering double the results in half the workout time.

  • Active Recovery & Performance: They act as an absolute game-changer for your golf, pickleball, running, or cycling game. By helping your body recover while you move and breaking up lactic acid, they ensure you aren't sore from workout to workout!
